Do you actually lose rep if your edit was rolled back by the author?

A normal rollback won't cause you to lose the 2 reputation. But when the post author overrides the edit approval, this causes a rollback and the 2 reputation will be lost, since the suggested edit ...

What can I do (besides a rollback) if I disagree with an edit of my post?

My edit was intended to be helpful. If you didn't like it, then you did the right thing by rolling it back. I'm not sure what else you would like to have happen? There's more information about ...

How do I revert an edit to my question?

Rather than thinking of rolling back an edit (i.e., from a given revision), the system thinks of rolling back to a previous version/revision. For example, if you think that Revision 2 was a bad edit, ...

Who has the final authority in an edit war? OP or a moderator?

TL;DR: moderator. Stack Exchange exists for the sake of good content. Who post this content is less relevant. Now the question is, who can decide what is good content and what is bad content? Or, ...

Edit rollback because I can't "put words in the author's mouth"

What can I do (besides a rollback) if I disagree with an edit of my post?

Usually moderators don't need to be informed about a single bad edit. After all if it's your post you can simply roll back the edit. If there's a pattern of bad edits a user is repeatedly editing ...

Who has the final authority in an edit war? OP or a moderator?

Edit wars kind of suck. And the ideal is to try to find a balance between your intentions and the improvements made. So, at the end of the day, a successful end to a edit war should be less one side ...

Notification when your edit has been rolled back

I absolutely support this. If a user makes a few edits and a good chunk of them get rolled back, they should be notified why so they don’t continue filling the queues with bad edits. A quote from you:...

Should poor grammar be fixed in a meta post where the OP is asking if (their) poor grammar is okay for the main site?

Irrespective of whether a post is written on a Meta or Main site, I think poor grammar, unless it is within a quote, should be corrected as part of any substantial edit to that post. Doing this helps ...

Rollback of a post to a revision with an older license version does not make the post relate to that older license version

The "error" occurred with a deleted answer. By re-rolling back to the revision it got to the correct version. I consider this no big deal and a sufficient workaround.
