This tag is hurting my [workflow]

I agree it should be burninated. A lot of the existing tags cover the specific workflows of each site functionality they refer to, like review-audits, suggested-edits, declined-flags, etc... My guess ...

The div containing tags for a question doesn't reflow, causing layout issues for questions with long/many tags

This appears to have been fixed - the tags now have wrapping, e.g.:
