I am a semi-retired lawyer, living in rural Washington State, USA. To a lawyer, language is a toolbox.

In Marshall Plan Germany, I learned to speak German and English at the same time I learned to walk. I am also a survivor of youth in Asia.

Regional accents and expressions are of particular interest to me. Like many people who have lived in several countries, I am a speech chameleon.
