My background is in survey research. I was associate professor with a joint appointment in International Studies and Public Policy at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) until 2018. Since then, I've been a research scientist at the California Department of Public Health, doing surveillance, epidemiology, and modelling around drugs. I've also been on CDPH's COVID Modelling Team, where we did predictive modelling for outcomes like hospitalization and use of ICU beds.
