Jun 27, 2013 at 13:13 comment added Chris S @WorldEngineer I think a Help/FAQ written to the audience of the site seem more appropriate that dumbing it all down to the lowest common denominator. I would expect the page for Seasoned Advice to be much simpler than for Electrical Engineering as an example.

An example of where that points on every other page is stackoverflow.com/about, which I think does a much better job of refraining from hard-to-understand idioms.
