Jun 23, 2014 at 8:29 comment added Raphael @Eric IIRC, revenue of beta sites is negligible compared to SOFU and hence not a real concern. (Can't speak for SE, obviously.)
Jun 22, 2014 at 21:28 comment added Cat @Gilles My point is that ad revenue is probably a metric that is important to SE, so they would evaluate V/D if it was directly correlated. Thus, the users of a site would be interested in V/D as it could be an indicator of closeness to graduation.
Jun 22, 2014 at 20:09 comment added Gilles 'SO- stop being evil' @Eric Participants don't care about ad revenue anyway, that's a matter for SE Inc. And they haven't turned on ads for any SE 2.0 site yet, not even Gaming.
Jun 22, 2014 at 20:05 comment added Cat And visits for various sites were drastically changed recently when Google adjusted their algorithm. I do get that V/D can determine income from ad revenue, but I feel like it's less important than it appears to be.
Jun 22, 2014 at 20:03 comment added jmort253 Yes! It look over a year to convince people on my beta sites to stop looking at questions per day as a metric. These should be removed. Visits are really the only metric that I pay any attention to, since it's harder to game them.
