replaced http://meta.stackexchange.com/ with https://meta.stackexchange.com/
Dec 24, 2015 at 12:13 comment added Shadow Wizard @wythagoras yes I know. The bug is when you put anything but 1 as the value of "deleted" operator. For what's it's worth, the bug is already reported for 8 days, without any hint of attention.
Dec 24, 2015 at 12:11 comment added wythagoras @ShadowWizard This is really weird. If I search for deleted:1 user:6000 I get my own deleted posts, but if I search for deleted:all user:6000, I get all user:6000's posts, including his deleted posts.
Dec 24, 2015 at 12:08 comment added Shadow Wizard @wythagoras that's because Geoff doesn't have any deleted posts on that site. Try with other user, and you will see his/her deleted posts. (you will see ALL posts, but including deleted posts) Just to prove it's working, I found this deleted question of yours just now.
Dec 24, 2015 at 12:02 comment added wythagoras @ShadowWizard I get: "Note: only content you own is returned when searching for deleted content". I'm quite sure this is intentional, not a bug.
Dec 24, 2015 at 12:00 comment added Shadow Wizard @wythagoras just see for yourself. (actually I can't see it myself having less than 10k there, but hope you get the point now :))
Dec 24, 2015 at 11:59 comment added wythagoras @ShadowWizard Can you clarify?
Dec 24, 2015 at 11:58 comment added Shadow Wizard @wythagoras well, we can actually but this is most likely a bug.
Dec 24, 2015 at 11:55 comment added wythagoras @ShadowWizard Just adding user:me for completeness sake, in case it once will change (i.e. that you can see all deleted posts)
Dec 24, 2015 at 11:48 comment added Shadow Wizard @wythagoras you don't need the user:me, unless you have a diamond.

added 301 characters in body
Dec 17, 2015 at 20:54 comment added wythagoras @JonEricson This is now status-completed, because you implemented deleted:1 user:me

I'm leaving my feedback as edits to these answers. I'm sorry, but I'm declining this one for now.
Jun 16, 2015 at 20:20 comment added TylerH Yes please. Deleted questions and answers to deleted questions.
Apr 30, 2015 at 13:00 comment added Pollyanna If the deleted: searches are enabled, then this comes along with it but only for interested users: user:me deleted:? - So I'd simply rather have that enabled. Then those users who want to see their own deleted stuff can, and it doesn't appear on their private page.
Apr 17, 2015 at 5:51 comment added Jeremy I strongly disagree with this proposal just because this really should be accessible to all users, and establishing it as a reputation privilege makes it less likely that that will ever happen. High-reputation users aren't the only ones who put lots of effort into posts and don't deserve to have them lost.
Apr 17, 2015 at 2:21 comment added Shog9 Mod One of the folks who soured me on it had 22K, @pizza - I'm skeptical.
Apr 17, 2015 at 1:08 comment added user259867 @Shog9 But those would be the folks relatively new to the system? By 30K or so, one has to get used to how deletion works.
Apr 17, 2015 at 0:11 comment added Shog9 Mod Even the 60-day window has generated a certain amount of noise from folks who absolutely cannot stand that their deleted posts are still in the system, regardless of visibility. I'd want to put a lot more thought into this before considering it.
Apr 16, 2015 at 23:58 comment added Jon Ericson StaffMod I don't see what your age has to do... oh. Wait.
Apr 16, 2015 at 23:58 comment added bjb568 @pizza There are many ways to define a small subset of users besides rep.
Apr 16, 2015 at 23:56 comment added user259867 @bjb It was prophesied that this ability "would result in unbearable amounts of wailing, gnashing of teeth, meta complaints, Twitter rants, cats sleeping with dogs, CHAOS..." Restricting access to a small subset of users would mitigate that.
Apr 16, 2015 at 23:51 comment added bjb568 We don't need any more "view vote count" privileges.
Apr 16, 2015 at 23:51 comment added HDE 226868 @bjb568 Seconded. This would be nice to have at any level.
Apr 16, 2015 at 23:49 comment added bjb568 I don't see why this should be related to rep.
