We are not going to turn it off for the poster who has enough rep to unprotect it. And we are not going to allow you to dismiss it permanently at this point. So in that sense it is declined. However, I feel that the main usability issue is (in my opinion) showing unactionable notices to people. And that is taken care of now. | |

Users who are in between (and thus are able to answer, but can't do anything about the protected status) are no longer shown this banner. | |
