@Kos There is no value lost here; you can label a single answer with a range of versions and use ### headers to identify which sections apply to which version. Nearly identical outcome to your suggest with none of the extra implementation effort.

Either an answer should have a range of version labels and use a header in their answer to indicate which parts work for which versions, or they should post a different answer for a different version. | |

Answer labels for which versions it works, so having that label will help you to find sewing kit in the haystack. Once you have found sewing kit is is easy to locate the needle. | |

Answers can span through many questions, it is for narrowing down pool of potential answers to begin with. Once you are looking at some answer and it covers few versions, you can easily locate text within the answer that covers that particular version. Of course, that still means answer needs to clearly state what solution is appropriate for which version, but such answers most commonly do. | |

Once you have located answer that supports some versions, it is not that hard to read the whole answer and use appropriate solution. | |
