I did do a poor job of addressing my wholehearted enthusiasm for letting a moderator unfreeze a room for a year regardless of the root cause problem of it freezing in the first place being addressed. I hope the edit makes my intention clear for the unfreeze topic.

Address the unsaid and full endorsement I have for letting moderators unfreeze rooms for a year period in response to comments

I'm disagreeing that it should be posted here, as an answer on this question, particularly when you've posted a very similar answer on a question that's a much closer match to the feature you're wanting.
Aug 21 at 2:06 | comment | added | Makyen | No, no it doesn't handle it at all. Yes, if your separate feature request is implemented, it would reduce the times that the problem in the question would happen, but your feature request here doesn't address the issue that is in the question.
Aug 21 at 0:25 | comment | added | bmike | I appreciate your concern @Makyen however, my "answer" if implemented would handle precisely the question at hand here. A moderator would never need to unfreeze the rooms in question here and in the many comments above. There are quite a few moderators weighing in here with the same core issue. Rooms we feel are important are freezing.

You're effectively shoehorning in a request for a completely different feature, one that has absolutely no bearing on the feature that's requested in this question, because even if your feature request was implemented there would be absolutely no impact on the desirability of the feature requested in this question. If this completely different feature is something that you want, then it should be its own feature-request question.
