Jul 17, 2010 at 7:51 | comment | added | YOU | @grace, you may try now, if you want to test that.
Jul 10, 2010 at 22:57 | comment | added | YOU | ah @grace, I have reassigned the bounty without noticing that you like to test. you may try next week.
Jul 6, 2010 at 13:42 | comment | added | Grace Note StaffMod | One possible explanation for the bounty auto-award is that instead of properly tracking new answers after the assignment of the bounty, it specifically tracks new answers after the first bounty was assigned. So until someone posts a better answer, yours will continue to receive auto-rewards. Whether this applies to bounties from just the one user, or if it affects all bounties on a question... honestly I wouldn't mind spending 50 reputation just to test it.
Jul 4, 2010 at 4:07 | comment | added | Jon Seigel | @S.Mark: To net out the bounties you're giving me, I'm going to set up a bounty on this question and award to you (that question could use more exposure anyway).
Jul 4, 2010 at 3:39 | comment | added | Jon Seigel | @S.Mark: Oddly enough, the system auto-awarded half the bounty amount.
Jul 4, 2010 at 3:18 | comment | added | YOU | I forgot to award bounty, setting another one.
Jul 1, 2010 at 18:02 | comment | added | Jon Seigel | Sounds good. @Gra
Jul 1, 2010 at 17:47 | comment | added | Grace Note StaffMod | I like the latter one. Ima make a feature request.
Jul 1, 2010 at 17:42 | comment | added | Jon Seigel | The tooltip could have it expanded. "This answer has been awarded bounties worth 100, and 50 reputation" or "This answer has been awarded 2 bounties worth a total of 150 reputation." @Gra
Jul 1, 2010 at 17:35 | comment | added | Grace Note StaffMod | Makes some sense. Would be nicer if the tooltip at least stated how many bounties a single answer received (lest we get questions on how someone seems to have earned 1000 points in bounty for one answer), but I can understand collapsing the UI. Imagine the mess a stacked view would be if one answer was fed dozens of bounties by the adoring masses.
Jul 1, 2010 at 17:15 | comment | added | Jon Seigel | Ah yes, good idea. It's separated into two BountyClose votes, so presumably that same information will show up in the data dump. I guess it's just collapsed on the UI side of things. @Gra
Jul 1, 2010 at 17:01 | comment | added | Grace Note StaffMod | How does your reputation report identify the multi-bounty?
Jun 26, 2010 at 16:10 | comment | added | Jon Seigel | @S.Mark: Interesting. Looks like they get grouped together, instead of being separated (in the tooltip as well). I'm really curious how this information will show up in the data dump. (I pray it's not collapsed into a single bounty award vote.)
