That info just get in the way of the reader, which probably is trying to (quickly) solve a problem in their code, reading a plethora of questions.. Couldn't agree more!
Because non-related people looking for it are more likely to be represented by users here, than there... and yes, but because I just had posted my black hole question, I had to wait 50 mins to post again, and I. The meanwhile I thought it would be nice to post it here, since it's not a trivial problem (I was already thinking of what GetAnswerWizard commented), so that everybody willing to help is going to have a chance to actually help.. :) –
I thought so @GetAnswerWizard, maybe the people of that site enhancing their "thing"? I am not sure, that's I was hoping to seed the discussion here ..
I follow the same approach @TheWanderer. If the comment is off-topic, I make sure to delete afterwards, in a reasonable timeframe. I see your point about exceptions. If "Pan Metron Ariston" was still around in the world, I think it would apply..
@ColleenV one of the members of my example is a mod. Given the "it depends on the relaxivity of the site whether it is allowed or not", I think that the people in charge is OK (and I am OK, as long as SE people are happy).
