Hi, my name is Hayley, and I run The Character Consultancy! I've come to the Worldbuilding Stack Exchange to see how much I can contribute here.

I am a trainee psychotherapist, and when I'm not running TCC I'm seeing clients to get the necessary number of hours of practical experience and finishing my final exams. I started my training in 2010 in counselling, and began my psychotherapeutic training in 2012. I'm specialising in transactional analysis, which is well worth a read if you want to learn more about the way people interact. I'm passionate about using my skills and passing on knowledge to help others, and this is why I started The Character Consultancy.

To be more specific, The Character Consultancy is a service where I use my psychotherapeutic training to help people to get to know their fictional characters on a deeper level. I can also use my counselling skills to support people through their worldbuilding projects, as worldbuilding alone can be a daunting process.

I was born a short distance outside of London in the UK and moved to the coast of the South East (UK again) in my teens, before moving to Bristol (yep, you guessed it!) where I have lived for the past five years.

I like to dance with a hula hoop, write, work collaboratively on the upkeep of an allotment, and bake. Ask me about my dark chocolate and cardamom brownies.
