Dec 26, 2015 at 0:43 | comment | added | Sean Kendle | No, every single time I've posted in SO, with a well-thought-out question, they've all been downvoted with no explanation. Now, everyone is just proving my point.
Dec 25, 2015 at 20:09 | comment | added | Simon Klaver | You are currently taking the meta as representative for other sites: Don't. Down-votes are far more common on the meta. Aside from that: The down-votes are to urge you to ask interesting questions, instead of for example just complaining.
Dec 23, 2015 at 20:18 | comment | added | Sean Kendle | Message received: Be afraid to ask questions. Be afraid to ask questions about being afraid to ask questions. This is not a community, it's a place where people judge you.
Dec 23, 2015 at 20:04 | comment | added | Sean Kendle | Then, you see that the "duplicate" question has a NEGATIVE TWENTY-SEVEN... you've got to be kidding me. So, if he deleted his question, he'd get his rep back, and mine wouldn't be a duplicate anymore. Seriously, I'm holding back on cursing right now.
Dec 23, 2015 at 20:02 | comment | added | Sean Kendle | Meanwhile the question it's marked as a duplicate of isn't exactly the same. You people disgust me.
Dec 23, 2015 at 20:01 | comment | added | Sean Kendle | Do you see what I mean? I already have at least 3 down votes on this exact question... this "community" is extremely frustrating.

Dec 23, 2015 at 16:39 | comment | added | Simon Klaver | Shouldn't your focus be getting an answer to your question instead of easy reputation?

Dec 23, 2015 at 16:20 | comment | added | John K | @Oded Depends on the day. One day, it was like that for let's say 1 hour. It is unpredictable.
Dec 23, 2015 at 16:19 | comment | added | Oded StaffMod | @TheBro21 - 1 question a minute? Closer to 5-6 a minute, on average.
Dec 23, 2015 at 16:10 | comment | added | John K | Same thing usually happens to me too. I usually get down votes on debugging questions. In terms of duplicate making, people don't duplicate for no reason (like with down votes). Stack Overflow is the most visited SE site (I think) with 1 question a minute, so there tend to be more duplicates too
