Ease of reading edit. Slight grammar revision.
Sep 2, 2020 at 17:11 comment added Tristan @WJS If everything that people wanted configurable were configurable, the site would be an unusable mess of configuration settings. Personally, I'm fine with either, but I find wider line spacing easier to read.
Sep 2, 2020 at 16:25 comment added WJS @Tristan so it should be configurable.
Sep 2, 2020 at 16:22 comment added Tristan Count me as one who actually prefers the new line spacing -- to the point where I will frequently open up developer tools on my browser to increase line spacing on wall-of-text websites to improve readability for me.

Emphasized the key point. I hope you don't mind...
Aug 30, 2020 at 8:33 comment added Sonic the Anonymous Hedgehog Um, a few years ago they used the notification system to notify users of a post here on this site, but it led to a huge flood of off-topic questions here from people who hadn't realized they'd been directed to a different site. They learned not to do that again.
Aug 29, 2020 at 21:25 comment added Dimitar Dimitrov I thought I was going crazy all day... Turns out they've changed it.
Aug 29, 2020 at 15:34 comment added WJS Yeah, I found it too eventually. But I usually assume that something like this was because I did something wrong. So I did numerous searches on how to fix it. It is irresponsible to introduce a major change like this without alerting everyone via a simple message. If the system can't handle doing that, then it has other problems that need correcting.
Aug 28, 2020 at 23:49 comment added Prid it's funny how specific I had refine my google search in order to find this relevant post. Had I not realized it was the line-height that had changed, I probably would've never found this official statement.
Aug 28, 2020 at 22:46 comment added user1271772 @WJS It is a bug.

Active reading [<https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/troubleshoot#Verb>]. Expanded.
Aug 27, 2020 at 15:34 comment added WJS I didn't know it was a feature. It seems more like a bug so I checked other options.
Aug 27, 2020 at 15:32 comment added Sebastian Simon I don’t know… if you know enough about Stack Exchange to notice a change in line spacing, shouldn’t you already know of the community bulletin where this post is featured?
