I would think it would be more reasonable and not so much noise if the poster was to put thanks in the original post at the very bottom. (If they just must say thanks)

Ties were required as part of dress code, the internet was blocked, email was only for managers, and phones didn't have voicemail until two years ago. We are a "little" old school. XD
