@Carrott I disagree entirely. The contrast between the tag background colour and the underlying colour is still extremely subtle. Making the text stupidly bold does not address the colour issue at all
Contrast IMO isn't the problem, it's a complete lack of vibrancy. Every light colour is tending towards white. It looks bleached. Also, what's this about "what the community wanted"? Could you please link to the reference for that?
@SquareObama I would assume (and hope) SE already has a suite of e2e tests using something like Cypress. It's trivial to configure it to produce a set of screenshot artifacts which would be a lot quicker to scan than visiting each page type for each site in each mode available
It just looks so washed out in SO dark mode, it's lost the vibrant colours that made important parts stand out. Did this really get reviewed or did the designers forget about dark modeagain?
