'User was removed' and '+200 reputation' limit
@Servy thanks a lot for clarification!

@Servy " you had exceeded the rep cap by more than 10 rep on the day you got the upvote from the now removed user then you would not have lost any rep;" So it could be that there were more than 6 upvotes from this user but only these who were removed from days where I didn't exceed the rep cap are removed today?

Is this still the case? My reputation today stops at 155 with 5 upvotes that are not counted anymore. (60 reps lost because of user removed).

@rossipedia thanks, I looked for a way to dismiss it but didn't see that.

Is it OK to leave "What have you tried?" comments?
Honestly, the hardest part on SO is to convince newbies to share their code. Once they did it it's usually a matter of seconds to provide an answer that points exactly out what they did wrong and what they need to change and why that change is necessary.

"Yeah, but some of the posters are newbies and really don't know where to even begin." My main problem is that newbies don't want to show their code. It takes sometimes a dozen comments to make them post the code they have so far, to be able to point out their mistake. I don't know exactly why beginners are so reluctant to provide the code that they try to make work. I understand that they are not too confident to share their code because they know they are beginners, but how can they expect support when they won't share what code doesn't do what they want it to do.

Search doesn't remember the tabs
relevance usually lists old results. There may be topics where old results with lots of upvotes are ok, but IT has a lot of fast changing topics where 6 month old q+a are outdated. It is such a pain to have to switch the tab again every time I refine the search terms.

Could the search result please stay in the same tab if I change some search term?
A real pain point and really annoying :( Relevance doesn't seem to be calculated in a way that is helpful to me. It usually lists old and often outdated results. Switching back to "relecance" also does happen "silently". I often wonder why the search result doesn't provide anything useful until I see that the wrong tab is activated again, even though I just changed it a second before.

Search `-[sometag]` broken in beta UI
Is there a workaround for 2 until this is implemented?

@MichaelKjörling Your example works for me too but here it stays on the old UI version. I added links and additional explanation.
